Human Resources Business Partner
**Summary**:
The Human Resources Business Partner/HR Generalist is responsible for providing a wide range of HR generalist support to our manufacturing operations management and team members. The HRBP role will include responsibility for Dayforce HRIS and will be the point person for escalation of employee relations matters. You will partner with the plant managers and supervisors in fulfilling their talent needs, and, in addition to recruiting you will support the performance management cycle and team member engagement initiatives. The HRBP will administer and supportively manage the full employee experience from onboarding, development, and growth through to terminations or exit interviews.
We are looking for that person we can count on who is approachable, diplomatic, and enthusiastic to take on this critical role based out of our Corporate Office in Toronto, ON.
This position will report to the Senior Human Resource Manager.
**Roles and Responsibilities**:
- Manage the assigned portfolio to fully understand your clients' organizational needs and issues.
- Ownership and administration of Dayforce HRIS, ensuring data integrity and streamlined functionality
- Work with your counterparts in the other teams and your HR colleagues to identify opportunities and initiatives for improving efficiency across HR.
- Provide day to day HR guidance, hands-on support and informed insight to the Manufacturing Operations teams taking ownership of the associated administrative functions, including offer letters, onboarding, and internal reporting.
- Assist in analyzing trends and providing monthly reporting and/or updates as needed.
- Manage and resolve escalated employee relations issues. Assist in conducting effective, objective and comprehensive investigations, corrective action recommendation and associated documentation.
- Ensure utilization of employee feedback surveys (exit interviews, onboarding interviews and other feedback) to inform and guide HR related decision and employee engagement.
- Participate in ongoing HR initiatives, legislative changes and projects for continuous improvement to enhance HR services to the business.
- Work closely with the Payroll and Benefits Specialist and Health and Safety Specialist to ensure that all types of Leave of Absences are managed appropriately.
- Collaborate with management on programs to support employee engagement and career growth, including comprehensive new hire follow-up conversations
- Together with manufacturing supervisors, manage the personal lockers for manufacturing team members
- Other various project initiatives as required.
**Requirements**:
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or working towards the Certified Human Resources Practitioner designation (CHRP) by HRPA
- Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience of relevant Human Resources experience in a Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing type environment
- Expertise in Ceridian Dayforce HRIS
- Intermediate proficient with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint and Word).
- Current knowledge of progressive HR practices and trends
- A team player, change agent, project manager and able to manage several demanding clients simultaneously
- High level of customer service and hands on approach
- Strong oral and written communication skills and takes initiative with mínimal supervision
- Excellent time and project management skills with the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ability to troubleshoot and formulate a decision to resolve the issues.
- Effective organizational and interpersonal skills
