Reporting to the R&
D Manager, this positionis responsible for the development of SSES’s proprietary technologies including but not limited to the Automated Coanda Screen Cleaner, Hydrogen Supply Chain Feasibility, High performance Coanda Screen Bars, andPenstock Cleaner.Primary Responsibility:
Your position will be Research and design Engineer (EIT).This position is considered to be a management position with the goal of assuming leadership related to SSES’s contracts in the Squamish region and minimizing my involvement over a logical time period.Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Project Engineer on Hydrogen Supply ChainFeasibility:
SSES is actively working on determining the econimical feasibility of Hydrogen production and sales as a business. Currently, we are at the feasibility stage determining costs and potential revenue generated by Green hydrogen produced by existing Hydro projects. Responsibilities and tasks are outlined below:
Identify &
develop new business opportunities and partnerships within the hydrogen industryEngage with external stakeholder and customers to secure hydrogen offtake agreementsContinue to refine and establish pricing strategies for hydrogen production, supply, and consumptionIdentify &
develop new business opportunities and partnerships within the hydrogen industryEngage with external stakeholder and customers to secure hydrogen offtake agreementsEngage with communities and municipalities to garner interest in new projects. Become SSES’s resident hydrogen technology expert. Develop a strong fundamental understanding on what is required to develop, construct, commission, and operate a project Continue to refine and establish pricing strategies for hydrogen production, supply, and consumptionWork with industry experts across multiple disciplines in order to develop economic models used to justify and support alternative energy projects.This includes development costs, construction costs, and lifetime operating and maintenance costs.Project Engineer on Automated Coanda Screen Cleaners:
Manage and lead development, sales, installation, and operation of Coanda Screen CleanersDrive new business and sales through customer engangementNetworking to expand our reach within Canada, USA, UK, and EuropeMonthly progress reporting and cost reporting on Coanda CleanersContinually progress and refine the Coanda Cleaner technologyProcure and install new systemsFrom initial discussions (BD) to installation and commissioningExpect to be hands on through the installation and commissioningPLC and electrical knowledge is an assetMaintain and support existing installationsMaintain customer relationsSSES is a small innovative company pursuing many different businesses relating to renewable and clean energy technologies.You will be wearing many different hats working for SSES.Below are key characteristics and requirements that would be of value:
Mechanical engineering degree or similarMust hold and active membership or be elgible toregister as a member with EGBCIndependent drive to complete andprogress projectsIndependent drive to pursue new endeavors as it relates to industry and business carried out by SSESThis position requires in office attendance and does not support working from homeLocated in Squamish, BCMust posess mechanical and electrical skills required for Coanda cleaner installations and developmentKnowleadge in PLCs and electrical systemsHold active passport and can travel overseas for Business Development
