Design calculations for civil, municipal, or hydrotechnical projects, ensuring compliance with local guidelines and expectations.Conduct comprehensive wind, wave, and sediment transport analyses and reporting.Perform hydrotechnical assessments and design complex structures, such as breakwaters and groynes.Create civil engineering designs, drawings, and specifications that meet project requirements.Undertake site inspections, construction field inspections, and manage contract administration to ensure project success.Develop proposals, budget estimates, and professional reports to effectively communicate project status and needs.Manage projects, ensuring clear, regular communications with clients and the project team to meet deliverables and timelines.Drive personal vehicle to project sites as required, adhering to safety procedures and wearing personal protective equipment.Qualifications:
A genuine interest in waterfront and coastal processes, evidenced by personal or professional curiosity in water-related activities or phenomena.Registered with the Engineers and Geoscientists British Columbia (EGBC) as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.), or eligible for immediate transfer if registered in another Canadian province.Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to efficiently and clearly convey technical information and professional opinions.Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil Engineering, Hydrotechnical Engineering, or a related field.Willingness and ability to work in Kelowna for an extended period, with a commitment to grow within the company.Proven project management skills, with the capacity to lead projects, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy in engineering design and analysis.Flexibility to take on various projects and tasks as assigned, demonstrating versatility and adaptability in a small, dynamic team environment.
