**Job Description**:
Allied Universal is seeking** **Incident Reporting Center Security Operator** in Waterloo, Canada**.**

**About the Role**
The incidents being responded to can carry significant risk that, if not addressed appropriately, could result in client/employee impact, costs to recover and/or reputation/regulatory/legal/compliance impact. These incidents can involve issues which are rapidly evolving/changing and complex, requiring a need for creativity/innovation and lateral thinking to address unique operational issues and concerns. The role works with people at all levels in the organization and expectations include a hands-on teamwork approach to solving problems
**What will you do?**
- Work primarily on a computer in an office-based environment.
- Perform effective data entry.
- Prepare and distribute detailed, accurate incident notices which are read by senior leaders.
- Global alarm monitoring and response dispatch;
across multiple time zones.
- Engage emergency services such as police, ambulance, and fire departments, as needed.
- Monitor employee and Executive travel.
- Create detailed and accurate incident reports to document incidents.
- Coordinate responses to critical, sometimes life-threatening events.
- Operate a variety of computer-based security technologies.
**What You Need to Succeed**
- Be at least 18 years of age with high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada.
- Ability to obtain Reliability Status security clearance within 3 months.
- Security Guard license.
- Degree or diploma in physical and/or information security, investigations, or risk management;
or comparable professional education/training in a field relevant to security or investigation management.
- Exceptional verbal, written and interpersonal communication and report writing skills.
- Outstanding ability to professionally and courteously deal with all levels of personnel and the general public.
- Extensive proficiency with the Office suite of products (Outlook, Word, and Excel).
- Demonstrated sensitivity to issues of ethics, diversity, equity, and harassment in the workplace.
- Good judgement, the ability to multi-task, be team oriented, organized, and adaptable.
- High degree of resiliency and calm when faced with stressful, crisis events.
- Strong self-awareness, the ability to objectively evaluate yourself and your abilities, as well as openly accepting of feedback from those around you.
**Preferred Attributes**
- Experience with CCURE 9000, Perspective, and other security technologies.
- Experience in a call center environment.
- 2-3 years of experience within a corporate, government security or risk department.
- A recognized professional designation in physical and/or information security.
- Private Investigator license.
- Introductory level familiarity with the Intelligence Cycle, investigations, and open-source intelligence.
- Analytical thinking with a curious mind-set.
**Interview Process**
