Reporting to the Knowledge Management Lead, as member of the Knowledge Management team within the Metallurgy and Technology business unit, the Knowledge Management Administrator is accountable for communicating with our users, continuously improving our MS SharePoint tools, and maintaining digital content on MindStore, the digital platform for the Trail Operations knowledge management program.
The Knowledge Management Administrator will work in a multi-disciplinary team delivering innovative initiatives that promote knowledge sharing across the organization and will report to the Knowledge Management Lead.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsible for all administrative aspects related to MindStore content;
including but not limited to, creating, and maintaining documentation, and conducting functionality and performance audits
Create, improve, and implement MindStore content, libraries, sites, and pages
Create, maintain, and present training aids to support MindStore users in a group or one-on-one settings
Act as the primary contact for resolving MindStore functionality issues with user
Coordinate with internal and external resources to ensure all aspects of MindStore are functioning at optimum levels
Liaise with on-site and corporate Teck Digital Systems resources to resolve issues with the software and/or platform that supports MindStore
Collaborate with stakeholders, internal resources, external consultants, and with on-site and corporate Teck Digital Services Teams to deliver projects from inception to sustainment
Conduct testing, troubleshooting, coordination of changes, and resolution of issues to support new functionality, connectivity, software updates, and/or upgrades with on-site and corporate Teck Digital Systems personnel
Review, assess, and coordinate the capture of legacy documentation in MindStore
Perform various clerical functions including but not limited to generating and maintaining meeting agendas, minutes, and collaborative workspaces for the Knowledge Management Team
Assist with the day-to-day training requirements and guidance of casual employees and contract staff.
Adhereto all safety and environmental rules, and hygiene regulations and procedures in the performance of duties
Qualifications:
Successful completion of a two-year post-secondary diploma with preference given to information or document management, knowledge management, information systems and technology, or related programs, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in a knowledge management related role, including capture, access and sharing of explicit and tacit knowledge and enterprise content management
Experience developing and supporting MS SharePoint sites
Advanced proficiency using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Capable of handling and maintaining confidential information
Excellent language skills (written and verbal) including ability to present to, engage with, and facilitate groups from across Teck Trail Operations
Strong critical thinking skills to solve problems and the ability to give attention to detail across multiple disciplines
Highly organized self-starter with proven ability to engage stakeholders and support users.
A service-oriented individual with strong interpersonal skills who is proficient in working both independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team
Ability to adapt workload and priorities to changing environments and requirements.
Experience with graphic design is considered an asset
Experience with MS SharePoint Online and the Office 365 Suite, including Teams, is considered an asset
