**Position Summary**
This position is responsible for providing instructional support, conducting demonstrations and assisting students as well as ensuring that supplies, equipment and instructional aids are maintained and prepared as needed.
**Duties &
Responsibilities**
- Conducts demonstrations and supervises laboratory activities.
- Performs a wide variety of tasks related to the operation and minor maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies.
- Supervise students on the safe use of laboratory matters, equipment and materials.
- Provides assistance to instructors and assists in the preparation of assignments.
- Orders and maintains appropriate equipment and supplies for the classroom and lab.
- Ensures that tools and equipment are prepared and set up to meet instructional needs.
- Organizes and coordinates classroom and workshop scheduling.
- Advises and directs student aids.
- Ensures that workshops and classrooms are clean and orderly.
- Maintains medication carts.
- Maintains the lab schedule.
- Performs other related duties as required.
**Qualifications**
**Education and Experience**
- Diploma from a 2-year Community College or institution in Practical Nursing and over 2 years’ related experience including current registration and practicing license with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses of BC or an equivalent combination of training and/or experience may be substituted for the required qualifications.
**Skills and Abilities**
- Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team and to establish and maintain effective working relationships with students, staff, faculty and the general public.
- Effective organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and manage several time-sensitive tasks at any given time. Works effectively in a demanding environment with a demanding workload.
- Medical supply knowledge.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to perform minor maintenance and repairs of simulators.
**Salary Range - Prorated based on FTE**
