Landscaper/Horticulture Crew Member

We are currently looking for someone to join our Deer Creek Turf Maintenance team as a Landscaper/Horticulture crew member, who is passionate about working in the Golf Industry and who holds themselves to superior standards regarding customer service, guest experience and providing exceptional quality of service
Job Requirements:
- Self-Motivated, punctual and proactive
- Works well independently as well as in a team environment
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts (early morning, afternoon, evenings) including weekdays, weekends, and holidays
**Responsibilities**:
This position is responsible for performing routine maintenance of all gardens, on course planters, turf around the clubhouse for the Deer Creek Golf Clubs property, using basic garden and landscaping tools. This position will operate small hand powered equipment such as trimmers, blowers and hedge trimmers.
- Planting and maintaining annual and perennial gardens
- Mowing and trimming of turf
- Setup and maintenance of seasonal displays
- Watering and weeding
- Parking Lot Clean up
- Adhere to all employment policies and procedures as laid out in the employment handbook
- Follow health and safety and COVID-19 policies and procedures
- Perform other duties/work as assigned by the Manager/Supervisor
Qualifications:
- Knowledge of plants an asset but not required
- Previous landscape experience an asset
- Previous experience working on a golf course an asset but not required
- Education in related discipline an asset
- Good Physical Strength - Ability to stand/walk/bend/push/pull for extended periods of time.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to follow and take direction from Supervisors/Managers
