Team Leader Job posting Paradise LeisureScapes has been Saskatchewan's Backyard Living Specialists for over 50 years. We build yards from the ground up and specialize in landscape design and build projects with swimming pools. We are looking for a driven and experienced Landscaping Team Leader willing to advance their skills, willing to learn with ambition to advance within the company. The Team Leader will work directly with the Landscaping Manager to train and learn how Paradise has been a local industry leader for over 50 years.They will be responsible for a variety of job tasks to complete landscape construction projects from start to finish and needs to be knowledgeable and skilled in most aspects in landscaping including hardscaping, soft-scaping and equipment handling. The team leader fills in to lead the team on a daily basis and when the Landscape Manger is offsite. The following is a list but not limited to what is expected for the following position. Ability to step in and take over a landscaping project / task at any stage
- Operate equipment required for the job and conduct daily safety inspections for tools and equipment prior to use
- Ability to follow directions and hold accountability for the quality of the job
- Troubleshoot issues that arise on the job and modify job in collaboration with Landscape Manager
- Conduct daily morning toolbox meeting on site with crew when needed
- Ability to provideand receive constructive feedback
- Able to accurately take and understand measurements using tape measure
- Ability to understand and read elevations building walls, patios, etc. and drainage on projects
- Hardscaping abilities and experience, but not limited to, constructing retaining walls/planters, interlocking brick driveways/patios and edging
- Soft-scaping abilities and experience in, but not limited to;
planting, laying sod, spreading and levelling landscape materials, digging and trenching. Basic understanding of blueprints, drawings, and specifications to assist with landscape constructionsQualifications:
- Minimum of 2-3 years of leading a small team 2-6 people
- Ability to lead a team, delegate, and motivate your crew
- Knowledgeable on all aspects of landscaping
- Knowledgeable and capable to run and operate landscaping equipment
- Strong attention to detail and quality completion
- Good communication skills
- Organized and detail oriented
- Reliable
- Neat appearance
- Ability to lift 80 lbs or more and perform physical duties
- Ability to work in all types of weather
- Valid Class 5 Drivers License &
