Lead Operator

General Accountabilities:
The Lead Gas Plant Operator will be responsible for assisting the Plant Coordinator in all aspects of plant production, and maintenance, as well as providing direction to the Gas Plant Operators.Albright is located near the communities of Beaverlodge and Wembley. The Albright Gas Plant will serve the growing sour natural gas processing needs of multiple producers with Montney and Charlie Lake production in the region and will significantly enhance CSV’s existing platform of natural gas processing infrastructure in Alberta’s prolific Montney play. With natural gas processing capacity of 150 million cubic feet per day, Albright will also recover and conserve up to 370 tonnes of sulphur per day and will be the first greenfield gas plant with sulphur recovery to be constructed in Alberta in nearly 30 years. Completion is expected in late 2024.The Lead Operator is expected to work a 4x3 schedule, Tuesday - Friday, days.We are also recruiting for Shift Leads and Gas Plant Operators with gas plant experience.Key Accountabilities:
Provide leadership, direction and mentorship to Gas Plant OperatorsEnsure tasks and job functions are current and effectiveOversee and ensure all plant processes and process changesEnsure employees comply with CSV’s safety protocolsEnsure employees follow CSV’s reporting requirements for incidents, near misses, hazard identifications etc.Support and/or ensure alignment with maintenance procedures and management of change processesReview and complete plant inspectionsModel and work with a safety-conscious attitudeEnsure all required sampling is being completedReview and maintain steam and operator logs required by ABSA and AER regulatorsReview invoicingWork with management to control expenditures and create budgetsWork with Engineering to implement required Management of Change requirements and any changes requiring programming assistanceOther duties as assignedEducation and Experience requirements:
The successful candidate will have a 1st class steam ticket and a minimum of 10-15 years’ experience working in a gas plant.In addition, the successful candidate will have:
Ideally, an excellent working knowledge of the following, but not limited to:
Natural Gas Compression, Gas Sweetening, Refrigeration, Sulfur Recovery, Condensate Stabilization, Steam Generation, and Water Treatment systemsProficiency with Emerson Delta-V Automation systems is an assetBe a strong team player that values diversityStrong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to influence othersStrong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to the varying demands of the roleExcellent working knowledge of MS officeBe familiar with all aspects of the operations and established proceduresValid Class 5 Driver’s LicenseBe familiar with work order programs, Open Invoice and SCADA related programsWhat We Offer:
