Locksmith & Access Control Technician

SLD (Security Locksmith &
Design Ltd.) is lookingfor experienced locksmiths to work within the GTA and surrounding areas.
Role:
Join our team as an on-road locksmith working out of a company provided vehicle. You will visit our commercial clients to address their needs pertaining to door and locking hardware.
Hours of work are from 7:
30am to 4:
00pm and you will punch-in at our location in Mississauga at Dixie &
Derry Road each morning(unless you’re headed straight to a client’s jobsite from home, where you check-in at the client’s site at 7:
30am).
You would also join our emergency service rotation where you’ll be on-call one night per week and every fourth weekend, you’ll receive a stand-by fee regardless of whether you attend a client’s site or not. We do not advertise emergency service to non-account holding customers and the amount of emergency calls we receive are mínimal. When attending an emergency service call, you are paid from the moment you leave your residence to the moment you return home.
Performance based bonuses are available to all on-road locksmiths when annual targets are met.
**Skills**:
As an experienced locksmith you are expected to know and understand typical locking devices such as mortise locks, cylindrical locks, deadbolts, exit devices, door closers, etc.
You are required to know and understand the proper use of hand tools and power tools.
You are not expected to, but it is beneficial to know and understand electro-mechanical door hardware such as automatic door operators, electric strikes and other electrified hardware types.
You are also not expected to, but it is beneficial if you do know and understand access control solutions and their infrastructure.
Pay Rates:
Experienced locksmiths can expect a pay range of $28-$35/per regular business hour, $56-$70/per emergency service hour, plus performance based annual bonuses of between $2,250-$6,750/annually when targets are met.
