**Job Purpose and Objectives**
Support the equipment manager in developing approximate equipment load listing for potential projects, during the RFP process
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
The logistics coordinator shall render the following services to Bothar in a timely manner with care, skill, and diligence:
- Research the procurement of logístical services including air carriers, couriers, customs brokers, expediting, and trucking
- Develop pre-project load plan for required equipment to mobilize (loads, weights, and dims) from Bothar yard to site
- Confirm insurance and TDG documentation requirements
- Work with operations to maximize efficiencies in transporting equipment (max weights / fewest loads) and develop trucking plan
- Research logístical contingency plans for rush shipments (i.E.. closest airports, air carriers, truckers, hot shots) and implement solutions when last minute requests are received
- Research trucking routes to and from project site and work with local authorities, considering high way limits, road bans, permits, and pilot cars
- Coordinate equipment shipping from yard to site, site to site, and site to yard, and develop a schedule and timeline for the loads, advising all involved
- Coordinate shipping / tracking Bothar equipment, from vendors to and from site considering carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and timelines
- Develop systems for manifesting, tracking and recording shipment history, along with their costs and travel times
- Develop necessary transportation plans and documentation during projects, for personnel and equipment
- Use inventory management systems to support inventory transfers between sites, and review functionality of new systems
- Create shipping manifests, confirming equipment values for insurance purposes
- Tracking equipment inventory including weights, dimensions and special handling
- Source and pre-qualify oilfield and long-haul truckers / expediters / hot shot services / onsite drop off depot / couriers
- Develop and maintain an honest, professional and friendly rapport with transportation providers, brokers, and forwarders
- Oversee the loading and unloading of trucks and airplanes at all locations or in the field at vendor facilities, as required
- Approve transportation invoices, attach all necessary documents, and forward to accounts payable and project cost tracking
- Interface with landlord regarding yard facility (security, maintenance, fire protection, sewer and water, snow removal)
- Represent the equipment manager at the yard, assist with the facility orientations, and maintenance of hand books, and procedures
- Make recommendations at the warehouse regarding crating, packaging, and handling procedures, to maximize truck deck capacity and payload limits
- Ensure compliance with all applicable codes, laws and regulations regarding shipping and transport of goods and equipment
- Secure all permits, fees and licenses necessary for the scope of logistics services
**Key Technical Skills and Knowledge**
Represent the equipment manager at the yard, assist with the facility orientations, and maintenance of handbooks, and procedures
