The Maintenance &
Security Manager reports to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing the Maintenance and Security team. They are responsible for the maintenance and security of all equipment in the building and suites including all hot tubs the development and implementation of a preventative maintenance program.
The Maintenance &
Security Manager will also manage loss prevention operations to ensure all Maintenance Representatives meet or exceed Sundial Management Inc. guest service standards. Through proactive checks of building security, lock mechanisms, and key control, the Maintenance Manager will ensure full protection of hotel employees, guests, and property assets.
**DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES**
**Administration**
- Responsible for scheduling of staff according to occupancy levels
- Responsible for training of new team member
- Ensures payroll (ADP) is approved and submitted to the Director of Finance on every Monday following a regular pay period.
- Leads operational effectiveness and guest satisfaction activities of the Maintenance and Security Department
- Maintain continuous liaison between Management, Maintenance, Housekeeping and Guest Services to guarantee that guests are receiving quality services that exceed their expectations.
- Promote teamwork, employee motivation, and morale.
- Responsible for all performance Management of the Maintenance and Security department.
- Reviews departmental strategies to ensure continued productivity
- Ensure Maintenance Manual reviewed monthly and up to date.
- Maintains inventory systems for tools, hot tub chemicals and maintenance supplies.
- Responsible for creating and managing purchase orders through Quick Books. As well as following Sundial Management’s purchase order approval procedure for Sundial Management and Strata supplies as well as contractor supplies and labor.
- Responsible for forecasting daily, weekly and monthly labor recharge work for Sundial Management.
**Maintenance**
- Responsible for scheduling daily, weekly and monthly tasks and projects for the maintenance department. Ensuring all task are completed.
- Ensures the Maintenance &
Security team are completed all maintenance request, daily Checklist and any other required tasks.
- Responsible for any maintenance emergency that might occur.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all hot tubs. Chemical levels, water quality and all daily checks
- (PMI) - Preventative Maintenance Inspections. Inspections, coordination and follow up of all Sundial Boutique Hotel guest rooms, Carleton Lodge guest rooms, all common areas and all hot tubs on a regular seasonal schedule. Ensure all supplies are ordered and on hand for all PMI work.
- Ensure communication with building Strata, GFL and any other 3 party regarding maintenance related issues.
- Responsible for maintenance of all Staff houses
**Security**
- Oversees emergency situations and make prompt decisions based on best interest of employees, guests, and the building.
- Responsible for all security needs of Hotel. Includes but not limited to ensuring only authorized vehicles parked in parking lots, supporting Guest Services with any guest issues.
- Manage all reports of Incidents within the hotel and on property
- Manage security cameras and systems.
