Apply now to the Maintenance Team Lead position on the Night Shift and be a part of our exciting journey!Job purposeResponsible for overseeing the manufacturing of goods, training of maintenance staff and the smooth running and upkeep of all production lines.Duties and ResponsibilitiesThe associate’s primary functions and responsibilities are as follows:
Oversight of daily maintenance department activities on your shift.Be responsible for the performance of the equipment on the production floor through OEE and efficiency on assigned shiftBe responsible for the development and coaching of all employees. Will be evaluated based on employee satisfaction resultsSupervise and train maintenance technicians as per company training program.Identify and continuously strive to reduce wasteProvide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production.Enforce and champion health and safety procedures and policiesBe responsible for production outputAllocate resources effectively to complete Work Orders and PMs as assigned by Maintenance Manager &
Scheduler/Planner.Implement strategies in alignment with strategic initiatives and provide a clear sense of direction and focusImplement a training/development plan for each mechanic that correlates with the millwright job description.Work closely with the leadership team to set and achieve company prioritiesEnsure compliance with all relevant federal, provincial and local requirementsPromote and encourage the company’s mission, vision and culture of trainingReview, measure, report effectiveness of training through analytical performance of each operator and/or supervisorManage the disciplinary action procedure, the performance improvement plan, and the annual Performance Review for the teamResponsible for daily management and support for the team to achieve operational successMonitor time and attendance and ensure compliance with Company Procedures.Approve the vacation requests.Carry out incident, accident and non-conformity investigations and associated reporting and action closure.Issue disciplinary action when needed.Perform other assigned duties and manage waterlogs.Follow Health and Safety rules and regulations.Must follow G*ood Manufacturing P*ractices, Food Safety, and Food Defense guidelines.Comply with all Company policies and procedures.QualificationsB.S in Business Administration, Engineering or LogisticsConscientious and responsible.Strong verbal and written communication.Proven ability to work cross functionally.Problem Solver with a disposition toward action.Outcome Organized – Works toward known deadlines, ship dates, and schedule.Customer Centered operator.Lean and/or Six Sigma training experience.Comfortable with ERP and production planning software.Strong oral and written communication.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Working conditionsWork indoorsMay be exposed to hot temperatures from ovens.May work close to others, usually within a few feet.Compliant with ventilation, cleanliness, space, lighting, and temperature.Physical requirementsStanding involved.May repeat the same movement.Often wear safety equipment such as gloves, hair nets, steel toed safety shoes/boots and beard nets.Ability to bend or twist their body.Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.We are an equal opportunity employer.
