Reporting to the Maintenance Team Lead, the individual will be responsible to manage Caldic’s maintenance for the Mississauga facility. Scope:
The position will be responsible to oversee and complete the maintenance and servicing of the facility and equipment at the Mississauga facility. The individual will also be responsible to coordinate and schedule external contractors to complete onsite service as required. This position will work with production (dry and liquid blends), shipping and tote repair. Major tasks and duties:
Complete the contractor compliance and scheduled mechanical maintenance and repairs on all facility equipment as requiredResponsible to perform daily equipment and site inspections as requiredResponsible to work with operations teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions or breakdownsProvide operational guidance and recommendations to ensure equipment operates smoothly to minimize equipment breakdownsSource external vendors to provide various products, tools and materials for Caldic operations;
Request quotes, presentto the operations manager, request approval to create a purchase order and place orderResponsible to be a main contact to schedule and have contractors complete required maintenance and serviceEscort contractors to specific areas to service equipment within the Mississauga facility;
ensure proper lock out/tag out procedures are followed prior to any serviceSupport maintenance and tote repair with any troubleshooting as it relates to the maintenance of the Caldic facility and equipment Delegate various maintenance duties to department to ensure service and repairs are completed in a timely mannerTo attend any required training necessary for the job.Complete all other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Team LeadAct as a backup to Operations Manager when absentComply with Caldic’s policies on hygiene, safety and quality.Review the specific SDS for all controlled products;
use the correct Personal Protective Equipment, how to handle the product, know where to find the information for each controlled product Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, GMP’s and HACCP requirementsResponsible for following Food Safety and Quality requirements as per Prerequisite programs, HACCP plans, CCP monitoring and SQF code.Knowledge/Skills &
Experience:
Minimum grade 12 education or equivalentMust have a minimum of 5 years maintenance experience in a food manufacturing settingMust have a millwright license or demonstrated experience and certificationsMust be able to lift up to 25kg/50lbs on a regular basisMust be able to stand for long periods of timeWilling to work in a dusty and noisy work environment at all timesForklift, Reach Truck &
Scissor Lift certification is required
