Above all else, we believe in doing the right thing for our people, our communities and our planet.Recipe is looking for a Manager, Building Standards who will develop and set Building Standards and Specifications such as relating to architecture, engineering, building methods and materials, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, civil and structural, building automation systems, technology, safety, and building vendor management for all restaurants types. As a Manager, Building Standards, you will be partnering with key internal customers and vendors to recommend, influence, and coordinate Architecture and Design Principles, efficiency and innovation, new technology, equipment, and food safety of our restaurants. This role also may participate or lead major initiatives/mission critical projects under limited supervision.What you will do in this role:
Responsible for establishing, protecting, and preserving the brand image as it relates to building architecture, standards and specificationsDevelop a national framework for architecture and site designsResponsible for developing, communicating and prioritizing business initiatives, developing processes and tools to enable initiativesBe accountable for aligning building standards and specifications with corporate sustainability, energy conservation, and safety criteriaReview all standards for overall impact to restaurant profitability and evaluate initial development cost, maintenance cost, and life cycleSet the strategic direction for new building architecture, standards, and specificationsCollaborate as a thoughtful partner with the team's leadership to develop project specific business casesMaintain knowledge of current and new building materials, technology, code requirements, and construction industry trendsPrepare Cost Matrix summary with building cost assumptions for annual financial budgetingAnalyze building material costs and vendors to ensure we are using the most reliable and cost effective productsAnalyze regional design costs to seek out cost savings opportunitiesReview all standards for overall impact to restaurant profitability and evaluate regional development cost, maintenance cost, and life cycleLead building science innovation to improve building strategiesValue engineering to reduce overall development costs and more sustainable buildingsResponsible for maintaining knowledge of current and new building materials, technology, code requirements, and construction industry trendsVendor management to determine the best costs, product value, and optimized supplier poolDevelop, maintain, analyze, and set the Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing system standards for all brandsWork with Energy Manager to ensure best building science practices are being developed, specified, and followedManage multiple projects for Recipe Unlimited, project deadlines, and keeping projects on trackManage forecasts for upcoming projects and depleting itemsManage multiple internal stakeholders (including SVP, VP, Ops Directors, Brand PMs, Finance, Executive Chefs etc.)What we are looking for from you:
