The Corporate Services Branch is seeking a professional, exceptional leader who is innovative, highly-motivated, collaborative and strategic with a reputation for integrity and a focus on service excellence and innovation to join our team as Manager, Business Solutions within the Planning and Information Technology Unit.
The Branch develops management strategies supporting clients to meet their business needs and objectives. As the Manager, Business Solutions your team of business analysts and service level coordinators will develop, implement and evaluate ministry business and system processes ensuring alignment with enterprise standards and strategic priorities. You will provide leadership, utilizing your excellent communication skills and persuasive and keen negotiating and conflict management skills, providing expertise working with governing bodies for the Ministry?s operational and strategic business solution initiatives.
In line with the Ministry?s core values of innovation, teamwork, integrity, service excellence, and leadership you will be accountable for ensuring results are achieved in the following:
Providing leadership, expertise and communication to clients on the formulation and implementation of business solution strategies and initiatives ensuring efficient and effective programs, services and processes are aligned with the Ministry?s strategic direction;
Leading a team of professionals to grow their knowledge and capacity, provide direction, problem solve as a team and provide service excellence to our clients;
Managing the development and delivery of digital client services and business technologies, which include supporting ministry leaders prioritize initiatives based on various factors;
Supporting, developing and or directing the creation of business cases, business analysis, requirements gathering, business process mapping and improvements, system testing and test plan development, and projectcoordination;
Preparing and managing budgets and resource plans for business and technology initiatives;
Human resource practices and implementation;
and
Collaboratively building and fostering relationships with ministry staff, other government ministries, external stakeholders and service providers to meet the needs of clients.
You will manage diverse teams that directly or functionally report to you. Your outstanding communication skills support the sharing, understanding, interpretation and translation of complex, technical information into plain business language, business cases and business requirements. Your in-depth knowledge of provincial government structures, decision-making processes and priorities provide needed expertise when implementing strategies and systems.
Public policy, business transformation and data governance;
Analytical and conceptual problem solving;
Enterprise project management and standards;
Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to translate information into plain language between business and technology teams;
Organizational change management principles and methodologies;
Building relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization;
Business analysis fundamentals, business planning and business process improvement and re-engineering;
Solution testing, planning system enhancements and system upgrades, and
Financial and human resources management practices.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required in this position would be obtained through the completion of a post-secondary degree in Business Administration or related discipline, or an equivalency of experience and training demonstrated by a history of accomplishment in the information systems industry.
