Position SummaryAs Miovision’s Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee the technical development of our production processes. The key to success will be building internal relationships with the production, engineering and quality departments. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be the key point of contact between MFG and ENG and will have the responsibility to direct the production team in areas such as process design, engineering changes, new product hand-over and preventative maintenance.The successful candidate will be extremely detail-oriented and have the ability to roll up information for further analysis and reporting to all levels of management within Miovision. This position is full time and reports to the Manufacturing Manager.Key AccountabilitiesResponsible for the development of manufacturing processes and procedures for Miovision products.Experience with PFMEA, control plans, Cpk and process flows as part of production line qualification.Propose design changes that will enhance product manufacturability and testability.Collaborate with engineering to create Production work instructions and provide training to operatorsImplement and provide support for internal auditsGather data and create reports to assess the effectiveness of production processesResponsible for the timely calibration of tools and equipmentTroubleshoot complex technical problems from production, engineering &
quality.Leverage Lean Manufacturing principles &
best practices to optimize all elements of production (material flow, parts kitting, assembly and test).Evaluate and approve product Engineering Changes (ECO/ECNs)Designing, implementing and validating new production processesOther duties as requiredSkills/QualificationsUniversity degree or 3 year College diploma coupled with work experience in a high tech environmentA minimum of 5 years of related experienceLean six sigma an assetIEEE an assetTrack record of successfully leading NPI programs into mass production for commercial electronics equipment.Well-versed in relevant software (e.G. AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Office, G-Suite)Experience implementing lean methodologiesProven project management skillsExcellent communication within all levels of an organizationSystematic approach to root cause analysisWorking experience with PLM systems (Arena an asset)Familiarity with Jira an asset (issue tracking and project management)Perks and BenefitsNote:
