**MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR JOB SUMMARY**
Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the Marketing and Communications Coordinator is primarily responsible for supporting the department in executing the annual marketing plan, communications functions, championing the Agency’s report writing, overseeing social media, and assisting with graphic design and photography.
The Marketing and Communications Coordinator also collaborates with all departments as needed to help further the agency’s mission, vision, goals, and objectives.
**ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS**
- Cover letter and Resume are required
- 18 years of age or older
- ENCOURAGED BUT OPTIONAL:
Please submit online graphic design and/or photography portfolios (website, social media pages, etc.) or submit digital samples of your work with your cover letter and resume
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing and Communications and/or Creative Communications Diploma preferred. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
- An education in the fields of marketing, communications, project management, advertising, public relations, or business may be acceptable.
- Minimum three years of relevant work experience in a corporate setting.
- Available 40 hours per week Monday to Friday in office hours with the willingness to work some evenings when necessary.
- Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check, Adult &
Child Abuse Registry Check and (no older than three months).
- Proficient working with Canva, WordPress, DonorPerfect, and Constant Contact is an asset.
- Photography, photo editing and graphic design skills are an asset.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Outlook, OneNote and PowerPoint.
- Extensive social media management experience.
- Experience in fundraising an asset.
- Experience working in a non-profit organization, especially in the mental health/social services sector is an asset.
- Experience working with vulnerable people and people with disabilities is an asset.
- Valid Standard First Aid/CPR Certification preferred.
- Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is required.
- Three employment references.

- Solid project/time management skills and prioritizing tasks with action items.
- Superior interpersonal skills and comfortable in interactions with all levels of staff. Maintain positive working relationships with others, both internally and externally.
- Strong academic and creative writer with meticulous copyediting skills.
- Exceptional reporting skills, including data and research gathering and interpretation.
- Knowledge of traditional and digital marketing practices.
- Skilled in designing strategic, persuasive marketing materials.
- Problem solver with a gift for formulating and implementing effective, unique solutions.
- Ability to delegate appropriately and effectively.
- Excellent listening, interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
