Dog Tales is a world-renowned dog rescue and farm animal sanctuary set on an idyllic 50 acres of green fields, rolling hills, and wooded areas in King City, Ontario.
The facility comes complete with a well equipped vet tech office as well as walking trails, therapy pools, outdoor play areas and a grooming spa. **About this position**:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Office Assistant to join the Dog Tales Team!
The rescue world is always busy, therefore this is not a regular Monday to Friday position. You will need to be available to work weekends, including Sunday for our public open house.
This is a multi-faceted position which requires organization and attention to detail.

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensure our website and select social media groups are kept accurate and up to date
- Prepare the office and kennel for our Sunday Open House, as well as greet guests and answer any questions regarding our adoption process
- Continuously communicate with current and potential adoptive families to ensure information is up to date and accurate
- Greet and assist new volunteers and donors
- Work with clients to complete paperwork for adoption and surrender appointments
- Assist with onboarding of new team members
- Ensure office and adoption supplies are stocked and communicate with the appropriate departments if supplies are needed
- Consistently liaise with other departments for different tasks as needed
**What You’ll Bring**:
- Office administration experience - 1 year minimum
- Hospitality experience - 1 year minimum
- Proficient knowledge of Google Suite
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to efficiently work in a fast paced and busy environment

**Schedule**:
Due to the nature of our industry, weekend availability is required. The shifts are 5 days a week 9am-6pm.
