**About the Truro Tennis Club (TTC)**
The Truro Tennis Club is an outdoor tennis facility located in the heart of Truro, Nova Scotia. The TTC sits within Truro’s beautiful Victoria Park. The TTC is a dynamic, not-for-profit club offering tennis instruction and programs to area residents of all ages and skill levels at affordable rates. The summer staff hired every year at the TTC are an integral part of the operation of the Club. Students and youth hired at the Truro Tennis Club will have the opportunity to develop their professional, organizational, and communication skills in a friendly and supportive environment.
**About the Position**
The specific responsibilities and tasks of the Outreach Coordinator are as follows:
- Evaluate, update, and execute an existing strategy for membership recruitment and retention.
- Identify new outreach activities and work with the TTC Board to create new partnerships and identify fund development opportunities.
- Help to develop programming that aligns with the goals &
objectives of the TTC Inclusivity, Diversity, Equity, and Accessibility (IDEA) committee.
- Assist with Club programming and camps on court as needed.
Truro Tennis Club is staying abreast of pandemic-related protocols required for sports organizations and will adapt staff cleaning, safety and contact protocols as required.
**About You**
Because this position is supported through funding from the NS Student Summer Skills Incentive grant program, the successful applicant must be a student. Preference will be given to post-secondary students, although high school students are welcome to apply. Post-secondary applicants will be asked to provide evidence of enrolment. Summer staff will be working with children and seniors, and thus will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check upon receiving a job offer. The TTC is looking for an applicant with the following skills and abilities:
- Good communication skills - in person and over the phone
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite and Gmail
- Quick learner;
can pick up new skills rapidly and learn new software programs
- Team player;
able to work in a team environment and collaborate with other staff
- Experience working with children is an asset.
- Tennis and other athletic experience is an asset.

Contract length:
4 months
**Salary**:
$15.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
- Weekend availability

TTC will follow Nova Scotia Health protocols regarding masks, social distancing and gathering limits.
