**Job Summary**:
Reporting to the Deputy Chief/Manager of Logistics, the Paramedic Services Fleet Coordinator will manage, coordinate, and oversee all aspects of the Paramedic Services vehicle fleet and vehicle-related patient conveyance and medical equipment. Conducts and oversees regular vehicle and equipment procurement, disposal, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance and warranty issues to ensure all legislated requirements are met. Research and monitor the automotive industry to make recommendations on vehicle designs and features. Manage capital and operating budgets specific to vehicles and equipment.
**Duties &
Responsibilities**:
- Manage the acquisition, PDI inspections, commissioning of new vehicles, and the decommissioning and disposal of vehicles.
- Manage vehicle preventative maintenance and emergency and collision-related repairs and conduct regular vehicle safety and equipment checks.
- Liaise with all programs around the coordination of daily and future vehicle requirements.
- Create and maintain SAP commissioning work orders and equipment masters for all vehicles and provide reports as required and complete tangible capital asset reports.
- Manage equipment preventative maintenance cycles.
- Manage real-time alerts regarding vehicle systems and other onboard technology.
- Data collection, analysis, and reporting related to fleet utilization.
- Procure and maintain an inventory of specialty items required for the upkeep of paramedic vehicles.
- Coordinate ongoing proactive cleaning cycles by infection prevention and control requirements.
- Investigate alternative green fleet solutions to support the Region's key priority in responding to climate change.
- Provide educational training and materials regarding the paramedic-specific vehicle and equipment maintenance requirements and processes.
- Liaise with vendors and partners on a variety of vehicle and equipment tasks and issues.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
**Skills &
Qualifications**:
**Essential**
- Advanced knowledge and experience with Excel, Outlook, and Word required.
- Sound organizational skills in project planning, resource management, knowledge of procurement and evaluation processes, and budget and financial planning.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage workflow in order to complete work on time and as expected.
- Sound human relations skills and the ability to work in a team environment and independently is required.
**Preferred**
- Automotive Service Technician certification and/or equivalent experience working in a vehicle maintenance environment including knowledge and understanding of the specialty features of emergency response vehicles is an asset. Certification to perform preventative maintenance and repairs to specialized paramedic medical equipment is also an asset.
- Knowledge and experience with SAP, Operative IQ, Vairkko and paramedic-specific vehicles and equipment is an asset.
- Knowledge and understanding on the Provincial Equipment Standards for Ontario Ambulance Services and the Highway Traffic Act as it pertains to Ambulance Service vehicles.

**Working Conditions**
- The incumbent must be able to perform all the necessary physical tasks associated with the position including lifting approximately 70lbs., pushing, pulling and moving heavy materials, equipment and boxes.
- Required to work varying shifts, including evenings and weekends to support 24/7 operations.
**Employment Conditions**
- Travel will be required between locations within Halton Region and on occasion outside Halton Region. The incumbent will be required to drive a Regional vehicle and will be required to provide a copy of their driver's license and a driver's abstract, by their first day of employment. The incumbent will be required to provide a copy of their completed "
