PASTRY COOK/BAKER - FULL TIME
With its perfect view of the inner harbor, boom + batten’s elevated casual dining offers guests an approachable culinary experience. Influenced and inspired by our pacific northwest surroundings, our culinary team delivers an inventive menu using the best ingredients on the market. Our beverage program features cutting edge cocktails, local and craft partnerships, and an elevated wine list designed to showcase the fresh ingredients on our menu.
Featuring a team of dedicated and talented industry professionals, we continue to elevate Victoria’s dining scene. We are seeking experienced applicants who have a passion for providing quality hospitality.
Summary of Responsibilities:
- Prepare and execute our daily bake-off, including fresh breads, pastries, cakes, cookies, scones, and muffins
- Prepare and plate pastry dishes for service, observing Boom + Batten’s recipes and portion sizes
- Operate all kitchen equipment and always conduct yourself with safety in mind
- Comply with all Food Safe and Work Safe BC regulations
The Chosen Applicant Will:
- Have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Must possess good attitude, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
- A minimum of 2 years experience working in a pastry or baking
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment

Compensation:
- Rates will be negotiated based on the successful applicant’s qualifications and experiences
- $20-$23 plus tips
