Overview:
Element has an opportunity for a Payroll Administrator - Contract. This position is part of the team serving US, Canada and Mexico. The Payroll Administrator will be able to process payroll for Canada, up to 600+ employees on a Bi Weekly and Weekly basis reporting to the Senior Payroll Manager, Americas.
**Responsibilities**:
- Participate in bi-weekly payroll processing for North Americas Payroll to validate adds, changes and separations are accurately reflected
- Administer any irregular payments such as incentives, bonuses and commissions
- Investigate and resolve payroll issues, escalating to the Senior Payroll Manager, Americas as required
- Monitor timecard exceptions working with supervisors to clear and approve on bi-weekly basis for assigned company codes
- Prepare T4’s, ROE’s (Canada) and payroll reports for cross-training
Skills / Qualifications:
- Familiar with US payroll-muliti states and Canada required
- US Payroll Association certification a plus, FPC or CPP
- Excellent skills using ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian Dayforce, MS Office Suite
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
- Excellent problem solving/judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to travel up to 5% of the time
