Reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, the Payroll &
Benefits Administrator is pivotal to the organization - this role focuses on payroll and benefits administration for all staff at Olive Fertility Centre. This full-time position requires a motivated, energetic, self

You are required to provide exceptional patient centred care in a friendly, calm, personable manner and be able to work accurately and efficiently while interacting effectively and in a supportive manner to all Olive’s diverse staff. The Payroll &
Benefits Administrator works closely with the management team, accounting, and human resources.Key Areas of Involvement Include:
**Responsibilities**:
Prepare and process semi-monthly payroll for 120+ salaried and hourly employeesAssist with processing new hires, terminations, salary rate changes, ROEs, and other data relating to employee payroll recordsProcess timesheets and attendance records, overtime, vacation, sick, leave of absence, etc.Process manual cheques for terminations, missed and off-cycle payments, and pay discrepanciesPrepare calculations and submissions of sensitive paymentsReconcile and remit payroll benefits, contributions, and government remittances on a timely basisPrepare government and statutory reporting
- monthly, quarterly, and annuallyPrepare and enter monthly payroll journal entries and payroll accrualsPrepare various GL account reconciliationsMaintain vacation and sick day schedules monthlyRemain current with changes in employment standards, legislation, and best practices, recommend changes as required, and assist in implementation ofchangesBenefits administration and coordinationAssist in the annual payroll budgeting process, audit, T4 processing, etc.Calculate and prepare WorkSafe BC premiumsQualifications:
Education, Training and Experience:
- 2-4 years’ experience in Payroll &
Benefits Administration
- Payroll Compliance Practitioner Designation required
- Solid understanding of Federal and Provincial Payroll &
Employment Legislations
- Strong knowledge of payroll and benefits reconciliations
- Experience working with Important Company Workforce Now is an asset
- Proficient in Excel
- Attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
- Sound organization skills
- Ability to prioritize and multi-taskSkills and Abilities:
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in all areas of responsibility
- Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication
