**Job Overview**:
We are excited to welcome a skilled and compassionate Occupational Therapy Assistant to our team at adaptABLE Occupational Therapy. As an OTA, you will work alongside experienced occupational therapists to deliver exceptional care to our pediatric clients. Your role will involve providing hands-on therapy, assisting in assessments, documenting progress, and collaborating with the broader team to ensure the best outcomes for each child.
**Responsibilities**:
- Support licensed occupational therapists in implementing therapy sessions tailored to each child's needs.
- Assist in conducting assessments, gathering relevant information, and contributing to the development of individualized treatment plans.
- Engage children in therapeutic activities to enhance their motor skills, sensory integration, and daily living skills.
- Document accurate and detailed progress notes to track each child's development and outcomes.
- Collaborate with therapists, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure a holistic and cohesive approach to treatment.
- Maintain a safe and engaging therapy environment that promotes children's comfort and progress.
- Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers, empowering them to carry over therapy strategies at home.
- Manage social media accounts.
**Qualifications**:
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant program from an accredited institution, or similar.
- Passion for working with children and contributing to their growth and development.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to engage and connect with children and their families.
- Detail-oriented mindset with excellent organizational and documentation skills.
- Collaborative spirit and the capacity to work effectively within a team.
