This is your opportunity to join our team!KEY RESPONSIBILITIESTalent AcquisitionDirect talent acquisition, optimize recruitment processes, standardize job descriptions, and cultivate relationships with staffing resources. Provide counsel on Work Permits, oversee labor programs, assist in key interviews, and offer structural recommendations for organizational alignment.Compensation and BenefitsLead comprehensive compensation practices, advising the Management Team on wages, salary structure, and bonuses. Efficiently manage payroll systems, oversee benefits administration, and recommend enhancements for employee satisfaction and retention.Culture and Organization HealthCollaborates with leadership to shape DeVry Values and culture. Measures engagement through surveys and feedback sessions, offering advice for productive work environments. Directs corporate events strategy and partners with Management Team on employee retention strategies.People and Culture Systems and ProgramsCollaborates with leadership, aligns HR strategies with company objectives, and fosters open feedback on HR systems. Monitors HR legislation, manages HRIS development, and formulates policies for employee relations. Partners with management to communicate HR policies, procedures, and programs effectively.Performance ManagementCollaborate with the Management Team to design and oversee a repeatable performance management strategy, including Development Plans, Reviews, goal setting, and training. Ensure alignment of department goals with organizational strategy, assess key staff, monitor performance improvement, co-create talent development systems, and train management in the company's progressive discipline system.Employee RelationsProvide legal counsel to managers on employee counseling and disciplinary matters, regularly visiting sites for connectedness and sub-culture assessment. Foster positive Employee Relations, resolving issues to support organizational goals. Advise and conduct investigations on employee complaints or concerns.Health Safety and WellnessLead the company's Health and Safety program, ensuring compliance, training, and education. Monitor trends, act as a health and safety advisor, manage Workers' Compensation claims, and implement programs for overall employee well-being in line with provincial regulations.Organizational Development (Training and Education)Continuously review and align training plans with strategic initiatives and organizational goals. Lead Training and Development, designing programs for managerial and employee growth while advising on impactful courses for leadership and cross-departmental skills.Legal and ComplianceManage legal relationships, provide guidance on People and Culture issues, review termination recommendations, advise on compliance requirements, minimize legal risks, and act as the primary contact with employment law attorneys and government agencies.Team ManagementManage the People &
Culture team by planning, assigning, and directing work, conducting performance reviews, addressing complaints, and resolving issues.MiscellaneousManage the People &
Culture departmental budget, including staffing.QUALIFICATIONSRequires a bachelor's degree in Human Resources/Business or a related field, along with specialized training in various HR areas (CHRP designation or equivalent preferred).Minimum of 5 years of progressive HR leadership is essential.Active involvement in HR networks and community engagement is preferred.Excel in building relationships across business lines, possess excellent interpersonal and strategic thinking skills, and be adept at managing ambiguityStrong business acumen, the ability to drive results, and a positive approach to energizing others are crucial for success in this role.WAGE Initial starting wage is $32-$37/hr. and is dependent on expertise and experienceHOW TO APPLYPlease send your up to date resume and cover letter to [email protected] thank all applicants for their interest;
