We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Business Analyst with a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical industry to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for bridging the gap between IT and business stakeholders, translating business requirements into IT solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of technology projects within the pharmaceutical domain.Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with business stakeholders, including pharmaceutical researchers, regulatory affairs professionals, manufacturing teams, and other relevant stakeholders, to understand their requirements, challenges, and goals.Analyze and document business processes, workflows, and systems within the pharmaceutical domain, identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization.Lead requirements gathering sessions, workshops, and interviews to elicit, analyze, prioritize, and document business requirements, functional specifications, and user stories.Translate business requirements into technical specifications and work closely with IT development teams to design, develop, and implement IT solutions that meet the needs of the pharmaceutical business.Act as a subject matter expert in the pharmaceutical domain, providing insights and guidance on industry best practices, regulations, compliance requirements, and emerging trends.Conduct impact assessments and risk analysis to ensure proposed IT solutions align with business objectives, regulatory requirements, and IT governance standards.Facilitate communication and collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring alignment and understanding of project scope, timelines, and deliverables.Support user acceptance testing (UAT) and provide guidance to business users to ensure successful adoption of IT solutions within the pharmaceutical environment.Provide ongoing support, training, and documentation to ensure business users can effectively utilize IT systems and tools to enhance productivity and achieve business objectives.Stay abreast of advancements in technology, industry trends, and regulatory changes within the pharmaceutical domain, and proactively identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field. 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, with a strong focus on IT projects within the pharmaceutical industry.Solid understanding of pharmaceutical business processes, including drug discovery, clinical trials, regulatory affairs, manufacturing, supply chain, and commercial operations.Experience with IT systems commonly used in the pharmaceutical industry, such as Electronic Data Capture (EDC) systems, Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and Regulatory Information Management (RIM) systems.Proven track record of successfully delivering IT projects within the pharmaceutical domain, from requirements gathering to implementation and post-implementation support.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into practical IT solutions.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build rapport and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Certification in Business Analysis (e.G., CBAP) and/or relevant domain-specific certifications (e.G., Regulatory Affairs Certification, Clinical Research Certification) is a plus.Join us and make a meaningful impact on the future of pharmaceutical innovation!
