Toys R Us Canada, proud to be Canadian owned and operated, has opportunities for full-time Picker / Packers (Material Handlers) on the day shift. This position is performed in our Concord Distribution Centre.Shift Times:
Monday to Friday, 9:
00a.M. to 5:

Performs general labour and material handling duties.Using RF Technology, pick customer orders in a timely manner from a pick listEnsure order picking accuracy and on-time delivery of all ordersPack orders and ensure they are complete, accurate, and ready for delivery, adhering to company’s quality standardsRead and match labels to product to ensure quality standards are met at each stage. Verify that Sku / similar named product, quantity and correct product codes are on package.Understand all shipping documentation, including pick slips, packaging details, shipping labels to ensure orders are accurate.Pack orders in a space efficient mannerReport any discrepancies or damages to the Supervisor.Pick and put away pallets either manually, using a pump truck or by using powered equipment, namely Walkie Stacker (Blue Giant), in a safe and efficient manner onto pallets and on trailers.Inspect all powered equipment and complete the daily inspection sheet before operation of any powered equipment.Shrink wrap pallet to ensure cartons are transferred safely.Practice safe stacking and securing of materials onto pallets. Ensure even distribution of pallets to prevent tipping.Stack empty pallets as needed and adhere to all housekeeping standards.Ensure internal and external customers’ requirements are met in an efficient, knowledgeable and professional mannerMaintain your work area in a safe and organized mannerComply with Toys”R”Us Health and Safety policies, procedures and standards and with the OHSA.Must be able to meet all productivity standards established by the company.Work in all areas of the Distribution Centre, based on the needs of the business.Performs other duties as assigned based on the needs of the business.Qualifications:
Previous warehouse experience, picking, packing and putaway.Must have prior experience with using computers and possess basic computer skillsMust have previous experience using RF Guns.Able to operate pallet jacksMust have previous experience and hold a valid Walkie Stacker (Blue Giant) licenseMust be willing to work flexible hours in support of business needs (days or afternoons)Must have high initiative, integrity and dependability to function effectively as a team playerMust be able to perform the physical demands of the position (able to lift up to 40 lbs)Good oral and written communication skillsGood attention to detail and accuracyEnglish comprehension and Mathematical skillsGood organizational skillsAbility to prioritize work and resolve issues effectivelyToys”R”Us is an Equal Opportunity Employer and offers reasonable accommodations to job applicants with disabilities throughout the recruitment process.
