We are looking for a Plumber and/or Pipefitter Apprentice to join our team. This is a great role for someone who likes variety in their role, can manage multiple priorities, and likes to take initiative. This is a permanent full-time position with opportunities to further your career while completing an apprenticeship.

**Responsibilities**:
At Tritech, we aim to provide opportunities that are challenging, fast-paced, that effectively utilize the skills of our team members, and provides variety in day-to-day tasks.
The job specific responsibilities for this role includes:
- Install, repair, inspect, test, and maintain plumping/piping systems and mechanical components of water and wastewater mechanical systems.
- Cut, thread, or groove pipes to specifications, using tools such as saws, cutting torches, pipe threaders or pipe benders.
- Assemble or secure pipes, tubes and fittings by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, or threading joints.
- Assemble and install valves, fittings, and apparatuses required for piping projects.
- Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, anchored, and graded.
- Install underground process and plumbing piping systems (HDPE, PVC, Ductile Iron, Steel, Copper etc.) ranging from ½” - 60” diameter.
- Install process equipment (pumps, mixers, blowers, compressors, gates, valves).
- Inspect, pressure test, and disinfect piping prior to system testing.
- Review blueprints, other drawings and plans, and specifications to determine the layout and requirements for piping and related materials.
- Identify the required tools and special equipment necessary to complete the site and shop project works.
- Perform various tasks on the labor crew to support mechanical/civil operations.
**Requirements**:
- An Apprentice Plumber and/or Pipefitter/Steamfitter ticket or have the ability and willingness to obtain one.
- Reliable transportation, driver’s license, and a clean Driver Abstract.
- The following training and certifications are required before starting:
- Construction Safety Training Systems Certificate (CSTS), or SiteReadyBC Online Construction Safety Orientation Certificate
- First Aid Certificate
- The following training and certifications are preferred:
- Confined Space Entry training
- Fall Protection training
- Experience working with a variety of hand and power tools and machinery.
- Experience working on an active construction site, preference is given to those with experience working in water/wastewater infrastructure.
- Experience installing a variety of process piping and plumbing systems (steel, stainless steel, copper, PVC) ranging from ½” -48” diameter is preferred.
- Experience gluing/joining large diameter PVC pipe
