Salto Gymnastics, a not-for-profit gymnastics and licensed preschool provider in Sherwood Park, is currently looking for a highly motivated Preschool Director to join our growing programming team.

The Preschool Director is responsible for managing year-round preschool offerings for the club, including summer programming/camps. This position is responsible for a variety of items, including but not limited to, the following:
**Programming**:
- Act as the main point of contact for all preschool programming at the club and oversee all aspects of program planning, program delivery/supervision, and program evaluation.
- Oversee all administrative aspects of the preschool program.
- Function as the main preschool teacher/supervisor for all preschool programming.
- Create and implement comprehensive lesson plans/curriculum that cover all relevant stages of early childhood development, while encouraging social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Oversee the set-up/take-down of all gymnastic circuits used in the program.
- Ensure that the preschool room is vibrant, engaging, and appealing at all times.
- Ensure that a roster of morning, afternoon, and summer preschool programming is developed and maintained.
**Administration**:
- Revise, develop, and manage all preschool-related systems to ensure that they are in line with accepted best practices for early childhood programming.
- Ensure that the program is in compliance with all licensing requirements, provincial standards, and all requisite legislative obligations.
- Establish effective lines of communication with other members of the leadership team.
- Prepare and present the Executive Director with a recommended annual program budget.
- Manage and monitor the approved programming budget to ensure that the program is solvent.
- Provide formalized progress updates to families at regularly scheduled intervals.
- Establish a professional level of rapport with the family of each participant.
**Health &
Safety**:
- Create and maintain an environment that is clean and safe at all times.
- Ensure that all required cleaning/sanitization is completed according to requirement and filed accordingly.
- Ensure that the program adheres to all legislative safety expectations and requirements.
**Staff Management**:
- Function as the supervisor for a small staff team (1 - 2 staff members).
- In conjunction with the HR Generalist, provide leadership and direction on all aspects of employee recruitment and performance management for the preschool program.
- Conduct sessional team meetings to ensure that relevant information is disseminated, and formal expectations are conveyed.
**Miscellaneous**:
- Assist with the planning and implementation of organizational events, activities, and fundraisers as required.
- Attend all relevant leadership meetings at the club.
- Provide relevant reporting documentation to the Executive Director as requested.
- Other duties, as assigned.
**Experience &
Qualifications**:
- Level 3 Early Child Educator Certification.
- Valid First-Aid / CPR (Child Care).
- 3+ years of experience working in a supervisory role in a preschool setting (preferred).
- Post-secondary studies (diploma/degree) in Early Childhood Education (ECE) would be an asset.
- Gymnastics Foundation Certification.
- Foundations Trampoline Certification.
- Active Start Certification.
**Salary**:
$45,000 - $55,000 per year depending on experience and qualifications. This is based on a schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Please note that this position is eligible to receive funds from the
Alberta Childcare Grant Wage Top-Up program.

This position is based out of the Salto Gymnastics Club in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Remote work is not available.
