Private Nanny - Overnight - Ft 3 Month Contract

**The New Mummy Company** is currently looking to recruit passionate Night Nannies/ Newborn Care Specialists to join our team in the Ottawa and Gatineau areas. As a Night Nanny/Newborn Care Specialist you will be working in the privacy of a clients’ home and will be responsible for caring for their baby/babies overnight. You will also be expected to support the parents through the exciting and challenging transition into parenthood. You should have extensive experience within the last three years and be qualified in a related field. Having a passion for looking after newborns is a must. We currently have positions open through to the Spring of 2023. See below for some examples of positions that we have currently open.
**What are the responsibilities of a Newborn care specialist?**
- Sole charge of newborn baby or babies (newborn - 5 months).
- Provide physical/emotional support to new parents.
- Assist and support breastfeeding and/or pumping.
- Cleaning and sterilizing feeding equipment.
- Support mother whilst breastfeeding and pumping.
- Bottle feed baby.
- Storage of breast milk and/or preparation of formula.
- Swaddle, burp, bath and diaper baby.
- Maintain a safe sleep environment.
- Create age appropriate feeding and sleeping schedules.
- Document all events during the shift.

**Specific Position Details - Chelsea, Quebec.**
**Duration**:
5 months
**Nights Requested**:
As many nights as possible - 9 to 12 hours per night. for example - 7pm-7am (12 hours) OR 9pm-7am (10 hours)
**Method of feeding**:
Breastfeeding
**Specific Position Details** - Perth/Christie Lake area of Ontario (close to Ottawa). Start date is early January 2023.
**Duration**:
3 to 4 months
**Nights Requested**:
3 to 4 nights per week for 8 hours per night - 10pm to 6am.
**Days Requested**:
Monday to Friday for at least 6 hours per day - flexible on timing.

These lovely first-time parents are looking for night time help when their little one arrives. They would like someone with extensive experience with Newborns who is confident and assertive. A Nursing background would be preferred but not a must. They have a friendly dog and Driveway parking is available for you.
