**Role and Responsibilities**:
We are seeking a full-time Product Specialist, Defence
- Reporting to the Director, Products - Product Management, the Product Specialist main responsibility is to be the expert resource for all the MetOcean Defence Products. Supporting the sales team and customers with the technical expertise to enable sales opportunities
**Key responsibilities include**:
- Training Customers / potential Customers on our Defence Products
- Leading Product demonstrations - including at-sea - and providing clear instruction on how to use / optimize the systems involved
- Assembly and dis-assembly of products for demonstrations and training
- Be the primary point of contact between Product Management and Engineering for all the Defence products
- Attending Trade Shows, as needed, as the technical expert on these products
- Comfortable discussing enhancements and system upgrades with the Engineering team
- Support the generation of Product documentation, both by providing content and by reviewing existing material
**Education**:
- Bachelor’s degree in market research or related field
**Required Skills and Experience**:
- Ex-Navy would be an asset for this role
- Solid technical background with understanding and or hands-on experience in the electronic/telemetry industry.
- Experience in communications, defence or security markets is beneficial
- Experience of delivering technical training to a variety of audiences
- Familiarity or direct experience training military personal an asset
- Professional and competent when addressing military audiences
- Organized and detail oriented, with strong verbal and written communication skills
- Collaborative with a positive attitude
- Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment
- Must be available for international travel
