Production Inspector (Weekday Afternoon Shift)

The Production Inspector will ensure both the final manual inspection processes and the running of parts through inspection equipment are both being performed as per the scheduling provided by the Production Scheduling team. This will help ensure that GMI is meeting the needs of its customers with quality parts being supplied.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Perform final inspection requirements and operation as follows:
- _Litens final inspection and rust preventative oil line,_
- _Roller Inspection Machine,_
- _THK Inspection Machine,_
- _Stud Inspection Machine (Hendrickson),_
- _Stand alone product requiring inspection before packaging_
- _Measurement Gauges (i.E. Calipers, Plug gauges. Height stands, etc.), and_
- _All other tools as required_
- Controlling all non-conforming product as per GMI’s standards
- Initiate sort reports and maintain rejection and scrap rates for control of product and logs
- Ensure that Product I.D. and Traceability are being performed
- Verification and troubleshooting of inspection equipment
- Adhere to all Health &
Safety regulations, Quality procedures and work instructions

Glueckler Metal Inc., first established through trial and error in the family-owned garage back in 1985, is a family-owned operation that has evolved over the past 30+ years to become a world-class precision machining, high volume, SRC (Safety Related Components) parts supplier within the automotive and heavy transportation industries. Currently employing around 100 team members, much of our staff have become like family, many having served 20 or even 30 years with the company. The strength of our team to continuously overcome the challenges of our ever-changing industry forms the backbone of our organization. Over the years, GMI has acquired over 30 multi-spindle, multi-axis CNC Machining centers while continuously working towards automating processes to eliminate as many manual requirements from our staff base as possible.
With 4 set operational shifts, plus our office and administrative shifts, opportunities within various departments may become available.
