Project Coordinator, Construction

Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with determination of project requirements for start-up, progression and close-out
- Interpret drawings and specifications.
- Send RFQs to sub-trades and suppliers and reviewing submitted quotes for accuracy.
- Managing the contractor’s review of shop drawings and submittals to ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Procurement of construction materials.
- Planning and scheduling.
- Perform material take offs using architectural drawings.
- Examine architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical and landscaping drawings to ensure conflicts do not exist.
- Document control;
receive, track and distribute all project documentation.
- Attend consultant client meetings and determine ongoing project requirements
- Acquire product manuals, warranty letters, inspection reports and certifications from sub-contractors and consultants.
- Education related ICI construction coordination/management is an asset.
- 2-3 (+/-) years of experience working in the construction and/or project management/coordination is an asset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
- Strong organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
- Work well under stress and be able to adapt to challenges.
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to travel to project sites (typical contractual bi-weekly meetings).
