ResponsibilitiesWorks under the direction of the VP, Exploration, or delegate.Works on uranium projects in Northern Saskatchewan. Short duration assignments to other North American jurisdictions will be discussed if required.As site senior on field programs, ensures all employees, contractors and visitors to the project are trained in and comply with laws and regulations and IsoEnergy policies and procedures on health, safety, environment, community relations, confidentiality, violence, and harassment.Supervises employee and contractor activities on assigned projects in the field and office to ensure program objectives are met safely, in an environmentally responsible manner, with a high degree of operational and geoscientific excellence, and within approved budgets.Collaborates with team members, exploration management and consultants to Identify and rank exploration targets on assigned projects, and formulates and proposes target testing tactics, work plans and budgets.Advances the geoscience knowledge on assigned protects through compilation and interpretation of historic information and newly generated data and observations, and through monitoring competitor activity on adjacent properties.Ensures that they, and those they supervise, carry out their work in a technically and operational excellent manner and that all geoscience and operational data, records, products, and interpretations are archived in GIS and modelling software, network/cloud directories and databases as required by IsoEnergy protocols.Mentors geologists, technicians and geological assistants that they supervise.Prepares permit applications needed to execute approved exploration activities and ensures work complies with permit conditions.Ensures that reporting required on their assigned projects (e.G. daily, incident, permit closure and wildlife reports) are completely accurately and promptly.Produces, or leads the joint production, of assessment reports on assigned projects to meet mineral tenure regulations and maintain IsoEnergy land tenure.Verifies and approves invoices within their signing authority limits, submits monthly accruals, timesheet, and expense claims approvals to meet deadlines, and tracks costs and informs VP, Exploration of circumstances that are likely to result in spending more than approved budgets.Under the direction of the VP, Exploration and EVP, Exploration and Development contributes to the production of press releases, securities reports, and internal and external presentations.Stays current with applicable uranium deposit models, exploration geoscience, techniques and technology, and geoscience information technology, exploration activity and results in assigned projects and districts though reading, networking, and internal and external training.Progresses towards or maintains P.Geo certification.QualificationsB.Sc. in geology, geological sciences, geological engineering, or earth sciences.Eligible to register as a Geoscientist in Training (G.I.T.) or Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo).Minimum of three years experience in mineral exploration, including drill programs.Able to communicate fluently in written and spoken English.Competent user of MS Office, GIS software (QGIS, MapInfo preferred), and drill hole planning software (Micromine preferred).Committed to working safely and in an environmentally responsible manner.Committed to ongoing professional development of themselves and those they mentor.Willing to work up to three week shifts in remote exploration camps. Occasional longer shifts may be required but we aim to minimize those.Willing to work in situations where handling radioactive drill core may be required.Willing to fly in helicopters and fixed wing aircraft.Willing to work outside in inclement weather.Workdays in the field average 10 to 13 hours but must be willing to work extended and irregular hours, e.G. for drill hole surveys on night shift.Able to repeatedly lift up to 60 lbs (e.G. moving drill core boxes).Able to walk for extended periods in rough terrain while carrying up to 50 lbs of equipment.Able to stand for extended periods in the core shack.Valid drivers license.First aid certification is an asset.P.Geo certification is an asset.Uranium exploration and Athabasca Basin experience are assets.Preference will be given to qualified Residents of Saskatchewan’s North.All interested candidates are invited to send a resume and cover letter to:
