**Job Description**:
Position Profile:
This position reports to the V.P. The Project Manager PM is the main customer contact, and is responsible for project scope review, submittals, production detailing review, issuance of claims and quotations, installation and close out.
The PM is responsible for a success project ensuring all customer requirements are met, and that a professional competent image is portrayed.
Management of Staff:
None at this time.
Expected to work with the management team and direct engineers, designers, and technicians on a per project basis.
Job Responsibilities and Activities:
A Transfer / Project Review
:
After the award Project Manager PM attends transfer meeting at which time the group reviews the project, general inquiries are made, and the project is assigned.
:
The PM assigned to the project takes possession of the file, and develops an in depth understanding of terms of the contract, specifications and all other requirements that the company is bound to.
:
Budgeting for engineering and installation is prepared, and reviewed with V.P..
:
Any specific changes discovered which effect the manufacturing budget is relayed to that department.
B Schedule
:
The PM coordinates with customer to obtain critical dates and enters schedule information into the database.
:
The PM updates schedule information as project progresses including formal transmittals to the customer as required to keep track of critical dates.
:
The PM shall issues formal notices regarding delays and issues claims as required in order to keep schedulerelated cost items under control.
C Contract
:
The PM ensures that material other than Important Company embeds is not released prior to receipt and review of a formal contract / Purchase Order.
:
The PM will review the contract scope of work as outlined in the contract review procedure. Information is relayed to Contract Administrator.
:
Insurance requirements are identified and transferred to the clerk that processes the request.
:
Bonding requirements are identified and the information is transferred to the Contract Administrator.
:
Billing dates, forms, procedures are relayed to the billing clerk.
:
Assists accounts receivable clerk in collection of overdue accounts.
D Engineering / Shop Drawings
:
PM shall ensure up to date drawings, and CAD files as required are obtained from the client.
:
The PM shall be fully familiar with the scope of work and relay this information to the individual preparing shop drawings.
:
PM to provide scope of work to engineering subcontractor as required, negotiate pricing, and issue Purchase Orders.
:
PM shall be main contact for all issues related to shop drawing preparation and approval. All Requests for information, quotations, claims, etc., are to be issued by PM.
:
PM to bring to the attention of V.P. all anticipated significant budget overrun risks.
:
PM shall review shop drawings and be responsible review of drafters work.
:
After approval of shop drawings PM shall relay information to engineering detailer, review detail drawings, and sign release to manufacturing.
E Installation
:
PM to issue tender packages once shop drawings are complete.
:
Scope of work document is generated which includes all project specific requirements noted in the contract documents.
:
PM shall be responsible for developing new installation subcontractors as required on a project specific basis.
