**About the Branch**:
The Land Development Branch works with communities, in support of their official community plans, to develop a range of lots to meet short and medium-term demand, and plan for their land development needs for the long-term. The branch is responsible for the planning, design, construction, and delivery of Yukon government land development projects across the Yukon. In partnership with First Nations and stakeholders, the Land Development branch explores and facilitates land development opportunities.
**About the Position**:
This position is responsible for providing the full range of professional level, project management services specific to the client’s needs. The range of services provided spans the total project life cycle from initiation phase
- (including concept development, needs analysis, justification reports) through the planning phase (including design, project plan development and contract award) to the implementation phase (design, construction, commissioning). For the immediate term the focus of most of the project work for these positions will be implementation (design and construction of municipal infrastructure and subdivisions).

**Essential Qualifications**
Please submit your resume clearly demonstrating how you meet the following qualification streams. Please note selection for further consideration will be based solely on the information you provide in your resume.
- Experience managing construction and/or land development planning projects.
- Experience managing consultants and contractors for construction projects or land use and development planning and feasibility assessments..
- Experience working on construction sites and/or on field projects, using various tools, such as survey, mapping, land assessment tools.
- Experience with GIS and/or or other relevant tools and apps (e.G. SmartSheet) that support collaborative processes for tracking land-based activities and work plans, etc.
- Experience leading teams or coordinating with multiple partners on land development or capital projects and/or planning processes.
**Desired Knowledge, Skills and Suitability**
- Knowledge of the land development process.
- Understanding of municipal planning processes and Yukon First Nations land-based legislation and initiatives.
- A designation or multiple years of experience in a construction-related engineering discipline and/or planning discipline.
- Excellent inter-personal, communication and negotiation skills.
- Experience working independently and within a team.
- Experience working with a wide range of partners including territorial, municipal, and First Nations.

**Job Requirements**:
Willingness to travel to Yukon communities is a requirement of this position.
