About the role
The Personal Lines Operations and Planning department is a National Business team that drives strategic projects which support customer satisfaction, growth, and profitability. We are looking for team-oriented individuals with exceptional analytical and organizational skills for a Quality Assurance Analyst position. Your main mandate will be as a QAA for IFC product team that aims to create and support a new customer relationship management system, that will provide a 360 view of client’s information.
What you’ll do here:
Review, analyze and evaluate business requirements specifications to create and plan a risk-based test strategy
Develop, socialize, and seek agreement for the test strategy that outlines the risks and mitigation strategies by priority
Design and prepare, or lead the design and preparation of test plans and matrices
Execute and/or lead the execution of test cases, test scripts and distribute progress reports
Identify, analyze, log, and prioritize defects:
Working closely with IT to identify root causes and resolve problems
Provide technical support and guidance to business on Production or Test Cycle system issues.
Perform system functional and acceptance tests
**Qualifications**:
What you bring to the table:
Post Secondary Education is preferred
CTFL / ISTQB Software Testing Certification or equivalent experience
Minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance in an Insurance or Finance Company
Solid understandingof the SDLC and Agile software development methodology;
QA concepts and hands-on execution in an Agile environment
Experience with Defect Management Tools
Experience in testing complex software systems
Exceptional analytical skills with a clear understanding of common software failures and faults
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills
Superior organizational, prioritization and multi-tasking skills to manage multiple projects and meet various deadlines
Ability to facilitate meetings, collaborate with others in person and "
Virtually"
A positive attitude in the workplace and the ability to drive change
Advanced Excel, Word and PPT User - MS Visio and MS Access an asset
Excellent oral/ written communication. Bilingualism is an asset.
Project Management and Leadership experience is an asset.
