**Role and responsibilities**
**Quality Assurance Inspector** will have a primary focus on ensuring the quality assurance and performance of subcontractors within the project. This includes planning and executing tasks that involve discernment in evaluating, selecting, applying, and adapting engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria specific to subcontractor activities. The role involves active participation in the development and implementation of technical assurance strategies and procedures, clearly defining responsibilities for delivering Project &
Systems Assurance, particularly in areas such as Civil, Station, Rail Systems, Maintenance &
Storage Facilities, etc. Reporting directly to the Interface Manager, the Coordinator/Inspector will collaborate with a cross-functional team to support the project's successful delivery with an emphasis on subcontractor quality and performance.
**Responsibilities**:
- Assurance coordination of all ongoing construction works according to applicable standards, in close cooperation with Integrated Project Delivery Team (IPDT) and Subcontractor in terms of safety, quality, operational, environmental, and technical requirements in a timely and efficient manner.
- Conduct Daily field surveillance and issue weekly Field Surveillance Reports.
- Ensures implementation of QMS and technical assurance strategies and procedures such ITPs, CQMP and Project Agreement.
- Ensures that implemented and completed works comply with the design and project requirements.
- Conduct Monthly Quality Surveillance Audits of the ITPs Quality Records to verify implementation and effectiveness of QMS.
- Assist in the development of key project documentation such as the Program Assurance Plan, Assurance Checklist, Review of ITPs, etc
- Encourage the safety culture appropriate to the project including the facilitation of Boots on Ballast program.
- Report deficiencies and Non-conformances.
- Review Non-Conformance Tracking System to ensure all Dispositions and corrective actions addresses on timely basis and according to the Project Agreement.
**Job Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management or related field with 6 years of experience in design or in lieu of Bachelor’s Degree 10 years of relevant experience in engineering design, construction or infrastructure industry.
- Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the in public infrastructure and railway sector, with knowledge of the development and delivery of Quality Assurance strategies for Public Infrastructure and railway projects.
- Awareness and knowledge of CSA, OPSS, AREMA and relevant EN standards.
- Professional Engineer (P.E), or equivalent, and a member of a relevant professional body preferred.
- ISO 9001:
2015 Lead Auditor Certification would be preferred.
- Working knowledge of implementing engineering safety management in the railway environment.
- Good interpersonal skills with proven ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplined management team.
- Self-starter with strong communication skills both verbal and written.
