Quality Control Inspector - Local Candidates Only

Under the general direction of the Quality Assurance Manager, the Quality Control Inspector is responsible for inspecting and ensuring quality assurance and grade standards of Randhawa Farms Ltd. products. The incumbent is also responsible for carrying out other duties delegated by the manager, conducting, or aiding in audits and completing relevant paperwork to report findings.
**Job Requirements**
- Prepare quality documentation and reports by inspecting, collecting, analyzing and summarizing information and trends
- Ensure good manufacturing practices ("
GMP"
) are adhered to
- Conduct inspections of weights, sizing and labeling/PLU of products to ensure accuracy
- Ensure palletizing is accurate with proper labeling, colors and sizing
- Conduct pre-op inspections of products to meet grade standards
- Inspect final orders for accuracy and quality compliance
- Conduct weekly inspections and audits of random cases and report findings
- Environmental testing and water testing
- Assist with the completion of audit paperwork when and as required
- Assist with packing when and as required
- Assist with delivering training to employees on quality, health, and safety at Randhawa Farms Ltd.
- Training needs to be done on defects, specs as per needed
- Facilitate crew talks daily to track attendance and document meeting discussions/outcomes
- Record Cooler temperature and pulp temperature checklist at different spots in cooler
- Facilitate crew talks daily to track attendance and document meeting discussions/outcomes
- Quality checks on daily basis and make report with analysis, comparison and suggestions based on market and customer
- Use software for filling quality inspections and reports and other tasks
- Check on daily basis if food safety forms are filled on by Packing, greenhouse team and janitor
- Make specs on different pack type and customer (before starting of season)
- Orientation on defects and GMP before starting of season and audit time
- Shelf life of product (starting, middle and end of season times) and report on size of peppers, cull, weight, brix (starting, middle and end of season)
- Review with packing manager and operator for ongoing defect and trends
- Coordinate with Packing Manager, operator and supervisors for modification, implementation, and discussion about pace
- Coordinate with shipper, quality checks of old inventory, and decision taken based on releasing and regrading pallets
- Adhere to and promote the environmental, health &
safety policies of Randhawa Farms Ltd.
- Provide recommendations for continual improvement opportunities to enhance the quality control processes
- Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned

**Required Experience and Qualifications**
- 1+ years' of experience in agriculture, food sciences or a relevant industry/field
- College Diploma/certificate in Food Science or Food Safety required or equivalent experience
- Intermediate knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel and Outlook
- Experience in on-farm food safety and audit training are considered an asset
