This is a position that requires shift work on a rotating, 12-hour basis. Overtime is expected.

**Responsibilities**:
- Ensuring adherence to safety standards in accordance with company policy and legislated requirements.
- Verifying railcar numbers with loading instructions to ensure accurate placement of cars.
- Connecting, disconnecting, gauging, and sealing LPG railcars as the loading process requires.
- Performing railyard switching operations required to position railcars at various stages of the operation.
- Interacting with CP and Plains staff regarding receipt, inspection, and shipment of railcars.
- Performing mechanical troubleshooting for respective loading equipment;
performing pump and valve maintenance.
- Safety system testing and periodic inspection/calibration of equipment.
- Understanding the flow rates of product in conjunction with car loading and movement to meet daily loading requirements.
- Providing project support as required based on trade qualifications.
**Qualifications**:
- Certified Interprovincial Journeyperson—Industrial Mechanic (Millwright), Steamfitter/Pipefitter, Electrician, and/or Instrumentation and Control Technician. Diploma in Instrumentation Engineering Technology may be considered.
- Power engineering certification considered an asset.
- Ability to read and interpret P&
IDs considered an asset.
- 1-3 years of previous loading or rail operations experience preferred but not required.
- Strong safety orientation.
- Ability to confidently and accurately calculate figures and amounts related to proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Self-starter with a strong sense of responsibility and ability to work with mínimal supervision.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract.
- Cleared criminal history (background) and satisfactory reference checks.
