**SUMMARY OF POSITION**:
The Chateau Lacombe Hotel is looking for a Sales Manager to join our team. The Sales Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of the total sales efforts of the hotel including, but not limited to:
securing new accounts, maintaining existing accounts, supervising activities of sales team and executing sales and marketing strategies to maximize the profitability of the hotel while maintaining excellent customer satisfaction.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- To be responsible for working with the Vice President, Brand &
Marketing, General Manager (GM) and Corporate Director of Sales (CDOS) in the development of hotel level tactical Sales and Marketing plan. To develop and support on-going goals and objectives for the department as set out by the annual business plan.
- To monitor sales activity and performance to ensure sales meet and exceed established profit plan and to accurately report variances or projections to management.
- To assist in the development of the hotel business plan/Yearly Budget with a focus on sales activity, programs and initiatives, and internal program development. Leads and coaches the members of the sales team to achieve maximum revenues, guest and colleague satisfaction while adhering to established company policies and standards.
- To manage and direct the activities of the sales teams:
providing leadership and motivation to implement effective sales and marketing strategies and to maximize sales and profitability. As required, review current departmental sales practices and revise strategies to meet current and projected business conditions.
- To build and maintain strong public and community relations with associates, clients and industry partners to enhance the hotel’s profile. To represent the hotel in a professional manner at all times and ensure the same conduct is exhibited by the sales team.
- To develop and maintain relationships with key clients in all markets, including Tour and Travel and Corporate Markets, in order to produce individual business including room sales and F&
B sales.
- To complete sales calls, site inspections and all other sales-related activity as required to accomplish goals. To ensure the integrity of the hotel’s key and prospective accounts database and monitor staff input for accuracy, thoroughness and coverage of the sales area.
- To collaborate with the Catering Team to ensure maximization of profit of Catering Events and function space.
- To work with VP, Brand &
Marketing, GM and CDOS in implementing agreed upon Marketing actions and initiatives from the property level and the brand. Ensures the continual development and representation of the Chateau Lacombe Hotel brand.
- To work in alignment with the common goals of the Nova Hotels Corporate Office, including working with the Corporate Sales Team on joint sales efforts for both the hotel and chain.
- To work with the HR Manager to provide training programs geared to sales technique and personal development. Provide on-going direction and development support to all direct reports by ensuring appropriate sales training programs are in line with individual career objectives and by providing guidance and direction in the development of individual action plans to assist with professional success.
- To complete any additional duties as required by the General Manager.
**EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE**:
- Hospitality Management degree preferred.
- Two (2) years’ experience in a supervisory capacity in the hospitality sector, within the Sales/Marketing Division.
- Computer literacy required.

- Excellent communication (verbal &
written) and interpersonal skills

- Ability to travel upon demand and possesses a valid Driver’s License
- Self-starter attitude and motivation
- High organizational skills
