JobDescription
Primary Purpose:
Under direct supervision from the Operations Manager and Depot Supervisor, this position is responsible for:
Ensuring the timely transportation of environmental samples from Important Company to Ottawa
Supporting the logging in and preparation of samples within the Ottawa Laboratory
Principal Duties &
Responsibilities:
Working closely with the log in team to transport samples from Important Company (Depot) to the full service
Laboratory in Ottawa.
8 hour shift, based in Ottawa - leaving Ottawa at 17:
30 and driving to Important Company to return to Ottawa at
10:
30
Logging in samples and putting soil samples out to dry for the next day’s analysis
Closing lab in the evening
**Qualifications**:
Job Specifications:
Must hold current clean Ontario driving license
Able to lift 40lb coolers
Good communication skills, work effectively and efficiently
LIMS experience considered an asset
Knowledge of environmental samples considered an asset
Self-starter, ambitious and energetic
Lab experience considered an asset
