Seasonal Airport Operator

Reporting to the Director of Infrastructure, the Employee will be located in the Loomex Building at the Peterborough Airport. The Loomex Group is looking for a 6-month contract seasonal Airport Operations member to join our Grounds Maintenance team at the Peterborough Airport. **What you'll do**
- Summer maintenance activities, including grass cutting, vegetation control
- Use of chainsaw, lawn equipment, hand and power tools
- Assist with site maintenance and upkeep of the airport, hangers and other facilities as required
- Attend and participate in airport training and safety programs Assist with emergency response and special events that may occur on-site as per the direction of the airport manager or on-site duty managers
- security and building check responsibilities
- Customer Service, including greeting and assisting visitors with possible questions or requests while maintaining a friendly client experience
**What you'll bring to the table**
- Valid “G” driver’s license
- Mechanically inclined
- Communication skills, written and verbal, to respond to customers and to interpret instructions and procedural manuals.
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to analyze situations in order to problem solve effectively. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clean drivers’ abstract
- Criminal Record Check Level 2
Other Qualifications
- general construction skills are an asset
**Working Conditions**
- This job will require outdoor work.
- The hours for this position will primarily be Monday to Friday, 8 a.M.
- 4:
30 p.M.
- Occasional weekends and/or statutory holidays may be required depending on the needs of the company
