Security Guard - Healthcare Screener

Regal Security Inc. is currently seeking a_ Security Guard - Healthcare Screener _at a prominent healthcare facility located in the Scarborough_, ON _area.
**Job Summary**:
_Security Guard - Healthcare Screener_ will be posted at various access and egress points of the facility and will be responsible for the proper verbal assessment of a visitor to grant or deny them entry past the access control points. Healthcare Screener Security Guards will be responsible to strictly enforce that all persons entering the facility comply with the Health Care Facility’s visitor access policy.
**Applicants must be able to demonstrate the following prior to an interview**:
- Valid Security License
- Valid CPR Certificate
- Valid COVID-19 Vaccine certificate
**DUTIES &
RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Assess and screen all persons wishing to enter the access control point of the healthcare facility as per the visitor policy
- Maintain flow at the entrance ensuring everyone entering the location is verbally screened
- Adhere to necessary policy and procedures related to wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and sanitization
- Ensure all persons entering the facility follow proper precautionary measures and wear the correct protective apparel as required;
- Exercise diplomacy and empathy if there is an issue with the visitor’s request for access to the site;
**QUALIFICATIONS**:
- Demonstrated strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability and willingness to work in a Healthcare environment
- Successful completion of a high school diploma or equivalent
- Availability to work a variety of shifts (days, evenings, overnights), 7 days per week
- Willingness to work shifts that require extended periods of standing;
- Willingness to wear protective apparel for duration of shift times (face mask, face shields, gloves and gowns)

- Reliability and punctuality
- Demonstrated ability to work co-operative with a variety of people in a team environment
**COMPENSATION**:
- Pay Rate will be $18.00 per hour.
- Health Benefits are available for full-time employees upon completion of 3 months probation
