Qualifications:
- Employees are required to acquire their own stab / ballistic vest.
- Firearms Possession-Acquisition Licence (PAL) is an asset.
- Approved Security Guard Training Course. If no current license, then a SK approved training course will be required. _If a current license and training in another jurisdiction, it has the potential of being transferred._
- RCMP Vulnerable Sector Criminal Record check required.
- Demonstrated ability to interact with the public, conflict resolution, and verbal de-escalation. Physical intervention and apprehension will be inevitable. Good general physical condition is required. Walking, negotiating stairs, and standing are required.
- A current jurisdictional approved handcuff course will be considered an asset.
- Current AB / SK / BC Security Guard license and / or related law enforcement experience will be considered an asset.
- Effective communication skills (reading / writing / verbal) in the English language. Spelling and grammar skills for report writing are required. Multilingual ability is an asset.
- Demonstrated observation, intervention, and critical thinking skills.
- Reliable disposition and instruction comprehension.
Scheduling and shift summary / incident reports are via phone app - per shift non-taxable data reimbursement for your personal smart phone is in place - must have a good data plan.
**Salary**:
$18.00-$25.00 per hour
