Senior Financial Data Analyst Position DescriptionBrim is experiencing exponential growth. The candidate will have the opportunity to drive in-depth data analysis for internal and external customers. As Brim grows in the US market and expands globally, S/he will also support various initiatives to scale the finance function through data queries / reporting automation and process optimization. ResponsibilitiesDesign and build queries to pull, analyze, and summarize credit card transactions data from data warehouses, including raw data files provided by Brim’s partners (processors, card networks). Credit card transactions data can include authorizations, purchases, fees, payments, charge offs, and other user level activities.Support the rest of the finance team to gather and analyze data from multiple sources for the purposes of billing verification, financial reporting, accounting and settlement reconciliation, etc.Conduct deep dives and provide analytical support for various business decisions. Some examples are:
** Transactional and operating costs analysis to identify cost reduction opportunities ** Product and services pricing analysis for revenue optimization ** Customer and card program profitability analysisDevelop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support planning and forecasting processes.Support ad-hoc projects and initiatives as assigned, leverage analytical skills to address complex business challenges and drive continuous improvement.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Statistics, or a related field;
Master's degree preferred.Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within the financial services industry, with a focus on card payments, banking, or lending.Proven advanced expertise in quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and data visualization tools (e.G., Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau).Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting practices, and regulatory requirements in the financial services sector.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex financial concepts into clear, actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and meet tight deadlines.Strong attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and quality in all deliverables.
