SENIOR STRUCTURAL ENGINEERFull Time, PermanentCalgary, ABTHE OPPORTUNITY:
Come join our client’s growing team of skilled professionals with expertise spanning structural, electrical, mechanical, and architectural design for both conventional buildings and modular structures. As a Structural Engineer, you will collaborate closely with the Department Manager to ensure all project deliverables are executed with the utmost engineering integrity. Your responsibilities will include assisting in achieving project objectives within specified timelines, schedules, and budgets. You will be involved in structural design, analysis, and detailing of building structures and facilities, including the preparation of related documents.PERKS:

Assessing structural feasibility on building integrity, remedial approaches, and retrofits for structural solutions and preparing reports and designs based on findings.Conducting construction site reviews, ensuring work is performed in accordance with original engineered specifications.Preparing quotes and/or proposals for new projects.Managing and overseeing projects through all phases.Mentoring and assisting in the development of all engineering staff.Handling client management tasks, including monthly invoicing and assisting in the collection of accounts.REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Civil or Structural Engineering.Must be a Registered Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Alberta with a degree in Civil Engineering (Structural Major). Additional provincial seals will be considered an asset.Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and structural analysis software. Experience with Revit will be an asset.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to non-engineer team members effectively.Advanced understanding of quality standards for structural design and planning, engineering fundamentals and principles, as well as all relevant codes and jurisdictions.Willingness and ability to expertly assess, validate, and stamp engineered drawings and structural designs.Knowledge of sustainable building design and construction as well as masonry and/or precast applications, including strength of material specifications and engineering standards.Ability to read and interpret various written resources including procedures, manuals, diagrams, architectural or electrical drawings, and schedule forms.Excellent time and project management skills, with a high level of sound and independent judgment and reasoning.Strong knowledge of the OBC, OHSA, and Construction Lien Acts.COMPENSATION:
Intermediate:
3 years of experience stamping in Canada - $100k-$130kSenior:
10 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years stamping in Canada - $135k to $150k
