Opportunity:
Our First Truck Centre location in Kamloops, previously known as Premium Truck &
Trailer, has an exciting opening for the position of Service Technician. Working with our trucks staff, the Service Technician will be responsible for diagnosing, trouble shooting, and maintaining customers vehicles in our shop.

**Responsibilities**:
Trouble shoots, diagnoses, repairs, and maintains all customers Commercial Trucks and Trailers
Conduct engine work and diagnostics
Electrical and trouble shooting
Gen sets to RV/Motor Homes
Horse trailers to Rock Crushers
Fleet maintenance as required
Skill Set:
Mechanically inclined with a strong aptitude for diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance
Customer service focused with strong communication skills to document customer transactions
Must be a motivated self-starter able to work in a fast paced, detailed, and processed driven environment
Ability to work in a physical capacity including heavy lifting and using tools throughout the shift
Use of computerized scanning equipment, able to use digital technology/mechanical software, proficient with keyboarding, and comprehensive report writing
**Requirements**:
BC Commercial Transport (Truck and Transport Mechanic) Journeyman Certificate (Apprentice level technician will be considered)
BC Class 5 driver's license (Class 3 with air brakes or Class 1 an asset)
Must have own tools (required tool list will be provided)
Must be able to work shift work
Experience in dealership / engine experience
MVI Certifications an asset
