**Duties**:
- Use effective interpersonal communication skills with students, faculty, management and external partners or community members, showing a sensitivity to intercultural communication

- Complete preparatory learning assignments prior to scheduled instructional shifts, as required
- Maintain frequent, efficient and professional communication with the Chair and lead faculty
- Ensure that work area is kept to standard at all times
- Prepare the learning environment using the equipment provided;
ensure all equipment isproperly stored at the end of the session and report any deficiencies to lead faculty
- Provide academic instruction, support and evaluation of paramedic students while in the lab environment
- Act as a liaison between the lead faculty, the student, and the Chair
- Provide verbal and written feedback to students and faculty to assess student progress and identify gaps in learning
- Act as an ambassador of the Paramedic program both within the school and outside of program
- Comply with Ontario Health and Safety Act regulations;
report any and all incidents (including, but not limited to, physical injury, mental health, or Health &
Safety) and/or deficiencies to Program or Course Lead
- Attend staff meetings and training as required
- Adhere to both Centennial College, Paramedic Program and/or HS Lab policies and procedures
- Complete any and all written or electronic documentation as required by the Paramedic program in a timely manner, including time sheets/rosters, evaluation forms, program evaluations, and formative and summative student performance
- Maintain professional appearance and personal hygiene, including appropriate lab attire as required (may include lab uniform and safety footwear)
- Perform any other reasonable, related tasks or duties as assigned
**Qualifications/Experience**
- Currently certified as a Primary, Advanced or Critical Care Paramedic in the Province of Ontario
- Actively employed by a regulated land or air Paramedic/Ambulance service in Ontario
- In good standing with local Base Hospital
- Minimum three (3) years Full-Time (or equivalent Part-Time hours) work experience in a Paramedic Service
- Knowledge of adult education principles and the role of learning outcomes, instructional approaches and evaluation techniques to be used
- Familiarity with the delivery and evaluation models and systems applied by the Program
- Experience in course or learning materials development an asset
